Dr. Williams is a board-certified surgeon with more than 12 years of service to the Bakersfield area. He is also a member of the American College of Phlebology, which is dedicated to advancing the care of venous disease. He is also Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Recognizing the need for a full time Phlebologist (Vein Doctor) in the Bakersfield area Dr. Williams founded South Valley Vein Center in 2002.  He was the first physician in Kern County to perform endovenous laser treatment and endochemical vein ablation. Since the opening of his vein center Dr. Williams has performed more than 2,000 ultrasound guided vein procedures.

Dr. Williams received his Bachelors Degree from Fresno State University. He obtained his MD from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1990. From 1990 to 1995, he trained in the Residency Program at the Valley Medical Center in Fresno. He was Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Mercy Hospital in 1999 and Memorial Hospital from 2002 and 2003. He is a member of the Houchin Community Blood Bank Board of Directors and coaches youth basketball.

In his free time, Dr. Williams enjoys spending time with his family, reading and playing tennis. He and his family are members of Riverlakes Community Church.
